In Paris at CDG airport, they have had the machines in place for months, but have yet to use them. But I understand that we are still in the roll-out / optional portion of the EES and it only becomes required everywhere something like April if I remember correctly.- so it WILL be fully in place by the time you travel.

We will arrive at CDG from IAD at 11:15am via Air France. We will start our vacation in the Loire Valley that same day (staying in Amboise). I plan to take a train to Tours (probably Saint-Pierre-des-Corps) and then rent a car to drive to Amboise to stay.

We take a taxi from CDG to Paris at least twice a year and one of our destinations is very distant and I am sure a money loser for the cab (deep in the 13th) and we have never had a quibble about the price. but if someone tries to add fees, yes, get out and go back to the dispatcher and report him and get a different cab.
