Creare creates customer value by solving critical engineering problems. We combine judgment with sophisticated analytical and experimental methods.
Creare is a leading innovator in the design and development of cryogenic refrigerators, components, integrated systems, and cryocooler control electronics (CCE). Our technologies in miniature high-speed turbomachinery and heat exchangers as well as reverse-Brayton, magnetic, Stirling and J-T cryocoolers are applicable to temperatures down to 4 K and cooling capacities from a few milliwatts to ...
R & D Services Creare is a world-class provider of engineering research and development services. We create customer value by solving critical engineering problems. We resolve difficult issues in product design, performance, and manufacturing to enable our clients to reach their goals for product functionality, time-to-market, and cost.
Creare was founded in 1961 by engineers with a passion for creativity and a drive for excellence. The company’s original roots grew around expertise in fluid dynamics—serving especially the turbomachinery and nuclear industries during the 1960s and 1970s. During the 1980s, Creare branched into the energy, aerospace, cryogenics, and materials processing industries, among others. The
Creare engineers come from multiple disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, materials, nuclear, software, and aerospace engineering, and our solutions are as varied as the problems presented to us. The name Creare comes from the Latin “to create,” and creativity defines our staff.
Creare’s flight-like, high-capacity cryocooler has been installed for liquid oxygen condensation and storage testing as part of the CRYOFILL test program at NASA’s Creek Road Cryogenic Complex. These tests will validate cryocooler operation for use in future space exploration programs on the Moon, Mars, and other planetary surfaces. The cryocooler provides over 120 W of refrigeration at
