The BT box failed so I thought I would by a Hisense 43E78QTUK TV as this appeared to have a PVR function so I thought I could do the same thing I did with the YouView box previously. I formatted a USB drive and attached it and the TV recognised it, however the Freely that comes with the TV does not seem to allow PVR recording of live TV.
The PVR function (recording on USB) is not present. I have made some research and found that in European countries (where I live) the PVR function is enabled or disabled according to your location, so maybe changing the country in the setting menu can enable this feature.
