MARYVILLE, Mo. — The Maryville City Council is weighing how much to increase water rates to pay for a new treatment plant and maintain the city’s water infrastructure into the future.

Liberty A. Moore, 32, of Maryville, and Karen M. Babcock, 58, of Skidmore, were found dead in a residence near Missouri Highway 46 and State Route PP north of Skidmore on Saturday. Both had apparent gunshot wounds, a news release from the highway patrol said.
