Khang was the low amateur in the 2015 U.S. Women's Open at Lancaster (Pa.) Country Club. Both of Khang’s parents came to the U.S. in the 1970s from Laos as refugees of Vietnam. Khang learned the game from her father and became one of the country’s top amateurs before turning pro in 2015.
