Haq is directed by Suparn S. Varma and produced by Junglee Pictures in collaboration with Insomnia Films and Baweja Studios. The screenplay was developed by Reshu Nath, with music composed by Vishal Mishra, Shivam Gupta as the casting director and Vijay Shinde as the VFX director.
Inspired by the landmark Supreme Court of India judgment in Shah Bano vs. Ahmed Khan, Haq is the story of an Indian woman's fight for her rights. It's early 1980's and Bano's father uses a Reynolds pen to strike out names of students from the register.
