I’m looking for a joystick/controller for C64 action games. What is the most “official” joystick to go for? I.E. what were the game designers most likely using/targeting when they created the games? On first look I’m gravitating toward a Wico or TAC joystick. Any recs would be appreciated

Is it the joystick doesn't work or you cant switch from the top? The swicthing is a simple design, Take a look at it and you should be able to see what the problem is.
