I have very little Coltrane in my collection, and I am looking to add some titles. This thread is somewhat inspired by the upcoming 6LP box set release: John Coltrane: 1960-1964 Mono (Rhino High Fidelity) which features the titles: Giant Steps, Coltrane Jazz, My Favorite Things, Olé Coltrane, Coltrane Plays The Blues, and Coltrane’s Sound.

I’m a bit surprised that there hasn’t been a lot of talk about the John Coltrane Analogue Productions 45 RPM Atlantic reissues especially since My Favorite Things and Giant Steps just came out last week and there are a number of other classics in the pipeline. Has anybody compared these new reissues to OG copies, ORG or Rhino reissues?
