In the framework of the International Continental Scientific Drilling Program, ICDP, more than 80 workshops were successfully held and almost 60 drilling projects have been developed, from multi-year big research programs to short, small-scale deployments such as lake drilling projects.
ICDP Call for Proposals ICDP invites Earth scientists to submit Preliminary Proposals, Workshop Proposals and Full Proposals in which drilling is required to achieve critical research goals. This call is open to investigators from ICDP member countries as well as low-income countries and from countries considering membership in ICDP.
ICDP-supported projects study the structure, composition and processes of the Earth‘s continental crust through the unique capabilities of drilling. The science program focuses on these themes: Environmental Change, Georesources, Geohazards, Geodynamic Processes.
