When using Gibbscam do you use the default feeds and speeds or do you look elsewhere? I ask because there's a lot of conflicting advice, and products, about what depth of cut, stepover, feeds and speeds to use and it's quite confusing, especially once you throw in different tools and materials into the mix.

Re: New GibbsCAM plugin for threading custom threads. I'll throw out a testimony that this plugin is the cats meow. Really works nicely, put together very well and is easy to use! Definitely makes programming odd threads a breeze, use to take me days to program some of the odd threads we do and now can do it very quickly.

Follow the Support -> Product Training link to GibbsCAM Training Videos. There is a video on creating solids, one on machining solids, and a "new" one on machining solids using Advanced 3D processes. Also, the SolidSurfacer PDF that ships with GibbsCAM contains about 350 pages on modeling and machining solids.

Gibbscam Work Coordinate System Hi all I am brand new to Gibbscam. Our boss wants us all to be on the same software, so here i am, having to move from Mastercam, to Gibbscam. Not very happy about it, but here goes. Everywhere i look on google/youtube etc, i can't seem to find information on creating CS's on a part, WITHOUT MOVING THE PART.
