So anything is possible. There may be an average period of recovery of the motor nerves for GBS sufferers which is less than 2 years, but for muscle recovery, I think that the average recovery for those who had severe GBS, the average recovery period must be several years.
I had GBS – Miller Fisher Variant in 1997 when I was a teenager, we don’t know what caused my GBS it was either infection or vaccine since both happened at that time. Would it still be very rare to get GBS a second time around with this medicine, or would I be “playing with fire” in this case?

Hi Kazza, The brain fog gets better. I have found just before, during and for many weeks after my relapses I have brain fog really bad. It is getting better, it takes alot of work, like grade school homework, sudoku, puzzels and word searches have helped quite abit. It is common among GBS/CIDP people, don’t be too hard on yourself. My dad (66) had CIDP 11 years ago and just had a snap recurrence. Where the first time took weeks to creep up to his waist, this time he went from 0-laid out in a few days. I’m wondering if there are any CIDP/GBS specialists in central or east North Carolina. we’re currently at the ECU Vident hospital which seems quite good but I’m looking for any advantage.
