The E61 535i wagon appears to be at least as fast and no heavier than the 2011 F10 535i sedan, plus the E61 has better steering feel. In addition, if you want to upgrade performance, this is a fairly easy software upgrade with the E60 or E61 535i and likely to be much more difficult with the F10.

The E61 definitely has much bigger trunk space and cargo capacity. Not sure why BMW's #'s are so wierd, but you need to go to the dealer and look at, sit in, and drive both cars.

I think if you google E61 fixed suspension replacement kit you might find what you are looking for, at least for the rear. As far as lowering springs for the front, that's going to be a challenge. The E61 is almost a bespoke BMW.
