Changhong actually make their own panels which says a lot about them, they definitely don't deserve to be lumped in with the other cheap/overseas brands.

Changhong sounds nasty as hell.... changhong crazy_amazing writes... r u serious 1200 is good for a 40inch sony it will last ages and eat all over chinese made crap samsung,lg,changhong or any other chinese made backlights in tvs Oh, and sony are more chinese than pretty much all the other brands you mentioned.
We ended up being given a Changhong one by a family member that bought a larger fridge. It was actually very usable, well laid out inside – especially the freezer compartment – compared to the old one.
I'm using a Changhong FHD LED TV as a computer screen, and suddenly its lost its brightness, or maybe backlighting, I guess. I can still see everything on the screen (just), and colour ect, but the brightness has dulled down to about 10% which makes it hard to see.
