My first experience with a LS2000 was a test ride where the boat almost sunk because of a plug blowout. Rebuild kits for the plugs are available from Yamaha for around $80 a pair and in my experience make the plugs works much more easily. The plugs should be removed between usage of the boat to avoid them absorbing water or oil and swelling.
