Gigant is the epitome of Hiroya Oku manga and his style. Although as of right now, I believe that Gantz is definitely better than Gigant, and I have high hopes for Inuyashiki as well. Getting into this series is simply a learning curve and once you understand Hiroya Oku's manga writing style, you'll understand why the series in itself is great.
