The only differences I can tell is that TMI is a very easy to install mod that has a clean and straightforward setup, whereas NEI seems to be clunky and takes up the entire screen. Looking at things like enchantment, TMI seems a lot easier in just about every aspect. Is there anything I'm missing? I personally prefer NEI because of all the addons.

TMI is often misunderstood as an alternative to the others, but it is actually an inventory editor only (for cheating in items more easily than with the /give command, no recipe viewing, and I've gotten the impression that at least in some Minecraft versions it can work without needing /give permissions - I'm not 100% certain of that part).

But every time I go through the process, the jar file gets reverted back and TMI doesn't load in like it should, META-INF folder is back and if i repeat the process again, same thing happens. Just wondering if there is a way to fix this issue, and play the old beta 1.6.6 like I used to way back in 2011?
