Hi Kuleshov, As far as I know, the person who scans your shopping and takes your money is called Checkout Staff. (or Checkout Assistant) They will scan your items by passing them over the bar code reader, inputting multple items if more than one of the same item is to be scanned.

manuscrite is just here to differenciate from a scanned signature, so you can use signature or signature manuscrite either way. Note that we say signé en main propre.
I save all my scanned photos as TIFF files uncompressed but when I edit properties and ex add a Titel and save - Explorer automatically compress the file with LZW TIFF! How do prevent it to do that!?!?
Sometimes the books are scanned from printed versions in which the word was divided between lines. That would have been a very reasonable question. (In this case my decades-old copy of the printed book has the hyphens, but one doesn't usually have a printed copy of every book that someone asks about in WRF to look at.)
