The Katana FxFloorboard was designed by a working musician and is much more fun and productive. I won’t say anything bad about the Mustang, but I did try one about 10 years ago and it was not for me.
I have tried for days - literally - to connect my Boss Katana Mk2 to the Boss Tone Studio, but everytime I try to connect through computers, it says "Wrong Device." I have religiously followed instructions step by step, have downloaded the right driver, have downloaded the Tone Studio, have tried the hint of installing Adobe Air, have tried both on Mac and on PC, but all to no avail. The Katana only has two controls, three if you press the type of delay button at the top. By using the tap, I can change the number of taps with the tap button, but have not been able to get only one repeat.
If your path is Guitar-Katana Input and the Volume pedal is running into either the FX loop or a GF-AC foot switch, then the PreAmp gain will always be hot at any volume pedal position.

I have a Fender Tone Master Tone Master Deluxe Reverb that came with a Celestion Neo speaker. I swapped it out for a 1203-8 Black Widow and find the amp tone to be greatly improved.
