Office 365 (Excel) making backup copies of spreadheets, how to stop? I have been pulling out my hair for about an hour now, searching this forum and Google for a way to prevent Excel from making a backup copy on my hard disk of every spreadsheet I edit. I delete the backup copies, but every time I open a spreadsheet, there it is again.
It copies the item to the 'Clipboard', then you go 'Paste' it somewhere. Okay, Thank you. That brings up another question then. If I copy a folder containing multiple files, Is the actual content of the folder copied? ie: all the files?
Why would I want multiple copies of the same file? What caused me to notice in the first place, was a warning that the 1 TB external drive where "File History" is located had redlined and was approaching its maximum.
Why do I have multiple copies of programs running? When I look at the programs that are running, I see a number that have multiple copies running. For example: 8 Avast 4 HD Audio background process 8 Nvidia container 9 runtime broker 7 steam client web helper plus a number of others that appear two to 4 times.
