I'm trying to convert a Word document to a PDF with simple markup, but it either shows all the markup or nothing. How can I do this, please?

It's theoratically possible, but Word is such a huge application, that in the general case, it's practically impossible, Word is still the best for this. I have created a MS Word Document with Bookmarks. Tried to convert to PDF using Adobe PDF Services online. It converts the document but shows the Markup changes that MS word tracks. I've done everything possible to "hide markup" and "Turn off" Track Changes, but still the PDF conversion includes the "formatting" Any ideas?
