It depends on the girl too. I’m never quite straightforward with a guy and I’ve always sucked at this love language. For me, I've only called a guy (my boyfriend) sweet because he was being thoughtful of me. I'm not sure if I'll call a guy sweet out of the blue, unless I know him well and know he has good personality qualities.
