Usually, a courtesy warning notice means the government is telling the recipient that whatever the recipient did is perceived to be a violation by the government but that the government is currently not taking any action against the recipient. Of course, no one here has seen your notice and therefore cannot tell you what is on the notice.
A courtesy hold means that another jail has a hold/warrant on that individual. SO even though the person may be released or post bond in one case, they still may be held for transfer because of another case.
A printed courtesy copy of uscis receipt notice may be sufficient for return to the US after travel out of the US. An I-551 stamp may be advised.

I have received a "courtesy notice: this is not a ticket" through Mail. However, I had not received any citation or ticket befor this notice. The notice is because I don't stop fully on red light turning right. On the photos taken by camera shows no other car or pedestrian on the street. It is just my car turning on the right.
