I bought this device after asking Topping and being told that I could switch between one headset and another using the two profiles, each with one output active and the others deactivated.

Is this normal? I have other topping dac ，that don't have this noise It can happen with some appliances when they are in stand by. It is a sign, usually, that something it not perfect in the power supply (either design, or implementation, or condition).

The old Topping remotes were absolute trash—I couldn't live with them so everything Topping went. I'd love to hear the DX9 Discrete, just because I'm interested in trying balanced cables and the unique features. Plus I just like looking at it. If the remote has been fixed I'll remain curious.
