Installation (tinc Manual) If you use Debian, you may want to install one of the precompiled packages for your system. These packages are equipped with system startup scripts and sample configurations.
Configuring tinc is mostly experienced to be easier than that of FreeS/WAN (according to users of both packages). tinc will support the transmission of any kind of network package, not limiting it to IPv4 or IPv6.
