Create and send email Choose New Email to start a new message. Enter a name or email address in the To, Cc, or Bcc field. If you don't see Bcc, see Show, hide, and view the Bcc box. In Subject, type the subject of the email message. Place the cursor in the body of the email message, and then start typing. After typing your message, choose Send.

Find an attachment in a message in conversation view In the new Outlook.com, the default mode for viewing messages is conversation view. In this view, an email thread can include many items. If any item has an attachment associated with it, a paper clip icon appears next to that item in the message list.

Reacting to an email in Outlook When you receive an email, and you want to send a reaction: Select the reactions button near the top of the message window and you'll see a gallery of reactions you can choose from. Select your reaction and it will be sent to the message sender and displayed for anyone else in the conversation.
