In Dec of 2022 I upgraded to MCU 2, thinking for some reason that there was a 2 year warranty on this part. June 2024 and the MCU2 is dead, and Tesla Arlington in charging me yet another 2500 to replace it. Does anyone know the true warranty on this thing? I’m over this company.
The MCU replacement procedure in toolbox is not very user friendly, and only works if you start it while old mcu is still in the car so you can copy data from it. If old MCU doesn’t work at all then you will need to tow the car to Tesla after installing the new MCU anyway.
