It is an encouragement letter! If you get a Letter of Assurance (LOA), it indicates you have received a conditional appointment & they are waiting on successful medical exam and/or nomination and/or a medical waiver -- or something else from you/for you. Once the condition is met, then the appointment is executed.

Has anyone received LOA from Westpoint? I fortunately received an LOA yesterday! I had an email that tell me you need 3 things to be considered for an LOA: 6 semester transcript, ACT/SAT, and your Interview. I had my interview done at SLE. I am not a diversity candidate, I think it was my test scores mainly that allowed me to receive one probably. Good luck to everyone!!
