Inuit Art

Many Inuit abandoned nomadic hunting for settlements and cities, working in mines and oil fields. Despite these changes, many traditional elements of Inuit culture have been preserved, and public policy continues to encourage Inuit traditions in arts and crafts.

The IAF supports Inuit artists and the development and appreciation of Inuit art and promotes Inuit artists from all four northern regions (Inuvialuit, Nunavut, Nunavik and Nunatsiavut) in Canada and internationally.
