IGJ Policy plan 2024-2027 A great deal is happening in the world – both close by and in far-flung places. These are developments that likewise have an impact on healthcare and supervision of healthcare in the Netherlands. How do we as the Health and Youth Care Inspectorate (IGJ) intend to tackle these challenges?
We collaborate with other parties wherever possible, but our judgment always remains independent. This allows us to fulfil our duties and obligations as a government inspectorate. We are the Health and Youth Care Inspectorate (or IGJ), part of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS).
The Health and Youth Care Inspectorate (IGJ), together with other EU Member States, checks whether medicinal product manufacturers comply with legal requirements. They also do so in non-EU countries.
