I mistakenly renamed my Microsoft account and having problems trying to change it back.
The user account name on a Windows device shows the name of the signed-in Microsoft account or work/school account. To change which user is signed in, select the Start button on the taskbar.
Changing the display name does not change the Xbox gamertag or local Windows account name. If the account is a work or school account and the name cannot be edited, contact the organization’s IT admin, as some organizations do not allow users to change their own names.
