Hikari was born Mitsuyo Miyazaki in Osaka in 1976 or 1977. [1] She moved to the United States as an exchange student at the age of 17, [2] and afterwards studied in Utah, graduating with a BSc in Theater Arts, Dance, and Fine Arts from Southern Utah University in 1999.
