Learn what geological faults are, how they form, and the main types of faults — normal, reverse, thrust, strike-slip, and oblique — with their causes and effects.
What is a fault and what are the different types? A fault is a fracture or zone of fractures between two blocks of rock. Faults allow the blocks to move relative to each other. This movement may occur rapidly, in the form of an earthquake - or may occur slowly, in the form of creep.
Learn what geological faults are, how they form, types of faults, key terminology, fault rocks, and their impacts on Earth and people.
The main faults types include normal, reverse, and strike-slip faults, as well as more complex varieties like listric, thrust, oblique-slip, growth, detachment, and transform faults.
Faults are cracks in the earth's crust along which there is movement. These can be massive (the boundaries between the tectonic plates themselves) or very small.
Discover what a fault is, understand the different types of earthquake faults (seismic fracture or rupture) and how they can impact you. This comprehensive guide explores normal faults, reverse faults, strike-slip faults, and more.

The US has many time zones but I am not in the US. After setup, the time zone was on the default Pacific Standard Time. MCT clean install defaults to Pacific time zone w/o option? Would installing Windows without an internet connection can be an issue with the time zone/region settings during install?
Searched my laptop for temporary files, including .zoom and zoom, but found nothing. Checked the default Zoom recording folder, which is empty. Opened the Zoom Desktop App and checked under Recordings, but the session is not listed. Logged into the Zoom Web Portal and looked under Recordings, but nothing appears there either.
