While we have diversity, people tend to stay in their own groups here, unfortunately. I was in Houston last fall and while there obviously were not a ton of people crowding public spaces, it did seem like these public spaces seemed much more diverse than the ones in Nashville, which was a breath of fresh air.

This trend is more for core cities. For example Denver is definitely trending more white, and while I wouldn’t say Austin is getting whiter the white population here is very stable. The diversity increase for Austin is likely to come from more minorities moving to the suburbs and the growth of Asian Americans everywhere.
