How are Archangels and Cherubim different? Was Lucifer a Cherub? How powerful are these type of spirit beings?
A Throne Over Earth Lucifer, before turning into the devil, had fulfilled his responsibilities as a covering cherub (see Ezekiel 28:14) so well that He was rewarded. The reward he received was a throne to oversee one-third of his fellow spirits on the earth (Revelation 12:4). This unique promotion of an angelic spirit is the only one mentioned in the Bible!
It was a Cherub named Lucifer who brought sin into the universe (Ezekiel 28:14 - 15). The Ark of the Covenant was built with the wings of two Cherubs stretched over it .
Spiritually Engineered Next to each Cherub, one wheel was place next to another one. A few Bible commentaries state that they traversed each other (one inside another). Like in a cross, they allowed the spirits to immediately go in any of four directions where they were told to go (Ezekiel 10:16 - 17).
Before his sins of vanity and lust, plus his rebellion, got Satan cast out from God, he was a powerful covering cherub (a special class of angels) right over the throne of the universe (Ezekiel 28:14 - 15).
And when I looked, behold the four wheels by the cherubims, one wheel by one cherub, and another wheel by another cherub: and the appearance of the wheels was as the color of a beryl stone. And as for their appearances, they four had one likeness, as if a wheel had been in the midst of a wheel . . . And the cherubims were lifted up.
