The 1968 to 1974 Nova are more popular than the later Disco era Novas (1975 to 1979) because of that interchangeability issue. In 1975 Chevrolet placed the 1970-81 second generation Camaro sub-frame under the Nova.
ok guys i need to know what is the largest size tire i can use on a 1972 nova with 14's and 15's without mod'n anything and also what is the most popular size everyone else is running on there novas thanks guys:beers:
On 1962 thru 1967 Novas, the VIN is on a plate attached to the drivers side front door hinge pillar. Chevrolet moved the VIN plate in 1968 and later Novas to the top driver-side of the instrument panel, visible through the windshield. In the following pages, each tag is broken down by position, working left to right.
BTW, like 1969-71 Novas, all 1972 Super Sports had power front disc brakes. NovaResource also shows some 10 bolt Posi differentials in '68-'72 years. whether they're 8.2 or 8.5, that i'm unsure of.
