The ATT basic cruise package is really easy to go over on your data. The cruise plus package is $100, and gives you more data but again you can go over if not careful. We do get the onboard wi-fi as we also have to keep in touch with family- but end up using the international day plan when on an island for $12 for 24 hours. Second person is $5 a day if needed. If ports are back to back it ...
We used to always get the ATT&T cruise pkg. Recently off Explorer only having the Voom Surf-n-Stream and easily put my iPhone on air plane mode and used wifi calling for texts. Worked out well.
I've only accidentally picked up roaming charges on St John, never St. Thomas. However, to cover yourself, just go onto your ATT account and activate the foreign day pass option. Then at most you will only be charged $10 for a 24 hour period of roaming.
We’ve done att plan but just for voice and text. The included data isn’t very much so also get the WiFi. If your people at home and you both have iPhones iMessage works with WiFi plan even though terms and conditions says it doesn’t.
