So I went shooting my new suppressed 5.56 build recently and noticed how hot it gets compared to non-suppressed ARs. I wasn't magdumping it, in fact I was shooting it relatively normally. However, after a few magazines the handguard was able to get to the point where it was noticeably hot. Still able to hold it without getting burned though.
