ALET is dedicated to promoting the positive impact of technology in education. Our members include education and technical professionals from throughout the State. They, along with our many sponsors, work hard to provide Alabama students with world-class educational opportunities.
ALET welcomes education professionals whose primary focus is technology in the K-12 environment. The applicant must be an employee of a school system or college/university whose primary duties are leading and supporting educational technology. Vendors and contractors may not become ALET members. ALET Certification Program Participants ALET offers two certification programs - Chief Technology Officer Academy and the Alabama Technology Integration Coach program. Both are year-long, in-depth programs for those currently in or aspiring to be in those roles.
ALET's Talent LMS offers online learning opportunities for current technology directors as well as Chief Technology Officer Academy cohort members and graduates. It is also where technology directors can track their accumulated credit hours throughout the year. In 2022, ALET partnered with University of Montevallo professors Dr. Jennifer Alexiou-Ray and Dr. Cassie Raulston to update the program.
