Grade Insignia: On the AGSU coat, all-weather coat, and windbreaker, officer grade insignia is worn on the shoulder loops, 5/8 inch from the outside shoulder seam, and centered front to back. All officers will wear pin-on grade insignia on the shoulders of the AGSU coat.

The U.S. Army Enlisted Female Green Service Uniform (AGSU) is nearly identical to the AGSU worn by Officers, with the primary differences being the addition of shoulder loops on Officer AGSU shirts and the lack of braid on the sleeves of the AGSU Coat.

The new fabric for the AGSU coat is heavier and more durable. The AGSU coat will have a tailored, athletic cut, to improve uniform fit and appearance. The coat is fitted slightly at the waist, conforming to body shape without tightness and with no prominent flare.
The AGSU uniform is designed to have a pristine, tailored appearance that commands authority and exudes the same values of the Army of strength and pride. Inspired by the original World War II Pinks and Greens, this uniform was known to represent one of America’s greatest generations.
The Army Green Service Uniform (AGSU) was released in 2019 and will be phased in gradually until 2028. The uniform itself was inspired by the nearly identical uniforms worn by our heroic WWII soldiers and will be worn daily.
