Part of USB-C is the Audio Adapter Accessory Mode. In this mode the device sends analog audio over the USB! So if this mode is involved, a DAC won't work. Maybe because a call needs a mic, it simply defaults to the onboard as the SoundKey has no mic.

Is there a general consensus on what playback sample rate would be best while listening to multiple audio sources in shared mode (e.g. Spotify + Discord + Game audio)? Correct me if I'm wrong, but while choosing 44.1khz would be optimal for Spotify, it would likely be sacrificing Discord and Game audio to some degree since those are typically 48khz sources.
Couldn't you just cancle out a room mode by putting a sound source in a corner which plays only the frequency of the particular room mode but in the opposite phase?
